Romance in Florence

If I were a working woman living in Florence Italy, I’d feed myself with delicious food, amazing wine & beautiful art. Cliche much? #SorryNotSorry, I can seriously eat carbs all day, wash it down with wine and still feel light as a feather, what is the secret?!?! I must find out! This city is like no other I have ever seen, small streets filled with shops, restaurants, cafes and of course “gelaterias”! Let me take you through my Honeymoon in Florence!

What to do: During my lunch break, I would grab a Caprese salad at El Divino & eat it with the tourists in front of the Duomo di Firenze Catherdal, taking in all of its beauty! It’s really an impressive building, not only in terms of its size (tallest building in Florence and capable of holding 20,000 people) but in terms of its look; as if unreal, painted, stunning! Then I would head over to Palazzo Vecchio & grab a coffee on a terrace of a pastry shop. Of course, I would not be able to resist checking out all the leather goods on my way, everything from bags, jackets to gloves!

What to wear: Florence is so romantic, and nothing screams romance like lace! I would wear a light outfit, like this Show & Tell Bailey44 black floral dress with lace details on the sleeves, Sanuk Yoga Gora Gora sandals, & a 3.1 Phillip Lim cross-over body bag. As it gets pretty warm during the summer and since everything is walking distance, I would like to stay comfortable to be able to walk from one spot to another. This stunning dress is light and flow-y, which is perfect for Florence’s streets, and these sandals made out of the same material as yoga mats are ultra comfortable for long distances!

Where to eat: At night, I would grab a pizza with my hubby at the Pizzeria De’ Peccatori. They have amazing pizzas (tons to choose from), calzones & pastas. My favourite is the mozzarella, tomatoes & prosciutto pizza and honestly given the location, their prices are surprisingly low! Then, we would head over to the Gelateria biologica for a scoop of hazelnut gelato – yum!
