Two of this season’s hottest trends are plaid and leather. A plaid shirt is a must have this fall, and it can be found pretty much at any store. I got mine at Urban Planet, but you can find a similar one at Garage, Mango, Zara, H&M or Guess. I have a plaid shirt in multiple colors: red, green & blue – I’ll show them to you throughout the posts. Whats really cool about plaid is that it can be dressed up with a leather skirt and heels or dressed down like I did here with grey distressed jeans. I mean, have fun with it ladies!
A leather or PU jacket is a classic, and every girl should have one in her closet – it goes with absolutely everything! It has been in style for a long time and it will remain on the top of the charts for years to come. This fall, motto accents are the most sought out. The motto trims could be flaps, quilted arms, or patches on the elbows. Pick a style that is comfortable and best suited to your silhouette. I found this one at Express and the reason why I chose this particular one is that it’s half PU leather and half cotton – therefore it’s very comfortable and I can layer as many pieces underneath as I want, since it stretches in the arms and in the back. I am a huge fan of leather & PU. The difference between the two is obviously quality & durability but also warmth. Leather is warmer than PU and that’s why I have one PU jacket (the one featured here) for warmer weather and a real leather one for colder weather (I will show you this one in later posts). Find your perfect fit and you’re good ladies.
