Off the shoulder blouses – THE piece of clothing to have in your closet this summer. They’re easy to wear, they’re nice and light for hot summer days & they’re super cute! It was only natural for me to wear this blue & white striped one to the Grey Goose X Boulangerie Bleu event two weeks ago. I purposely matched the decor without blending in – blue, white & red – vive la France ;) It was extra hot that day so a flow-y blouse was a must.
Going to certain events where the dress code is not mentioned can be hard, but here is how to nail it:
1- Research: Browse through last year’s photos to gauge what people wore in the past. If those are not available, or if this is the 1st time the event is being held, then take a look at the invitation & event website to get a feel of the theme.
2-Theme: Once you have a feel of the theme, you know whether you can go casual, corporate, business casual or fancy.
3- Outfit: You don’t need a brand new outfit, you can easily mix & match your wardrobe to fit the theme – a simple accessory (a red bag for example) can make all the difference.
But, the most important thing is to have fun really. I had the pleasure of attending a meal prepared by an amazing chef, followed by an awesome Grey Goose party. The food was delicious, amazing drinks were flowing all night and the decor was unbelievable! Cheers Grey Goose!
