FLORENCE TO TUSCANY'S COUNTRYSIDE

Every working chix needs a vacation! If I lived in Florence, I would definitely be spending my weekends exploring Tuscany’s countryside and neighbouring cities! From wine tasting in the Chianti region to exploring the streets of Siena – there is no time to get bored, that’s for sure, ‘La dolce vita’!

What I would do: I would rent a car on Friday evening right after work and drive down to San Gimignano, where I would have booked a b&b at a local farm which participates in agroturismo. On Saturday morning, I would head over to the village and explore its charming streets while enjoying the best gelato from Gelateria Dondoli. Then, I would head over for some wine tasting and homemade lunch at a vineyard & finish off with a dinner in Siena or Pisa, taking in all of the cities’ beauty.

What I would wear: Tuscany has amazing weather in the summer, not a single cloud in the sky, but that also means that it gets very hot in direct sunlight so I would opt for a very light summer dress like this off the shoulder Faithful The Brand Alacati dress from Shopbop which Im loving in this white and blue striped color – this summer’s MUST! Where I would eat: The best meal to have in Italy is a homemade lunch at a vineyard in the Chianti region, and of course a wine tasting of the Chianti classico (min 80% grapes from the Chianti region certified – look for the black roster on the top of the bottle)! Bruschetta & cold cuts as an entree, fresh homemade pasta for the main course & of course chocolate pancetta for dessert – ahhh la vita es bella!
